Zero-Order Quartz Wave Plates
Zero-order wave plates are temperature insensitive phase retarders for moderate bandwidth applications. These zero-order wave plates are constructed of two airspaced quartz waveplates, enabling use with high-power diode lasers or tunable lasers.
Achromatic Zero-Order Quartz-MgF2 Wave Plates
These achromatic zero-order wave plates consist of two different birefringent crystals — crystalline quartz and magnesium fluoride (MgF2) — in an air-spaced design. Compared to zero-order quartz wave plates, achromatic quartz-MgF2 wave plates offer better retardation accuracy over broadband wavelength ranges.

Our achromatic zero-order wave plates consist of a polymer film stack laminated between two high-precision AR coated N-BK7 windows and are designed to operate with a high degree of retardation accuracy over a broad wavelength range.
